Ayurveda (known as Ayurved -आयुर्वेद), a eco system of lifestyle which includes ways and means of healthy life. These medicines originated in India more than few thousand years ago. The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words ayu (life) and veda (science or knowledge). Thus, Ayurveda translates to knowledge of life.
Based on the idea that disease is due to an imbalance or stress in a person’s consciousness, Ayurveda encourages certain lifestyle interventions and natural therapies to regain a balance between the body, mind, spirit, and the environment. In today’s life where we have lost balance between family-work,earning-expenses, appetite-food, necessity-greeds. Ayurveda plays major role of correction in our life by balancing Tridosha and mental status.
Ayurveda treatment starts with an internal purification process, followed by a special diet, herbal remedies, massage therapy, yoga, and meditation.
The concepts of universal interconnectedness, the body’s constitution (prakriti), and life forces (doshas) are the primary basis of ayurvedic medicine. Goals of treatment aid the person by eliminating impurities, reducing symptoms, increasing resistance to disease, reducing worry, and increasing harmony in life. Herbs and other plants, including oils and common spices, are used extensively in Ayurvedic treatment.
The Dhanvantari is known as God of Ayurveda.The great and rich tradition of ayurveda is carried forward by Prajapati,Ashwinikumar brothers,Lord Devendra, Atreya (son of Atri Rishi), Agnivesh and many other people dedicated their life for Ayurved and carried the legacy generation after generation.
This heritage continued by Sushruta, Charak, Wagbhat,Kankayan,Madhav and so on. It’s an unending list of people who kept knowledge of Ayurved flowing from generation to generation.
Vaidyaraj Govindrao Tolye started his “Vaidyaki”(वैद्यकी)around 1890 and the tradation followed by Vaidyaraj Balkrishna Tolye and Vaidyaraj Haripant Tolye. Their close relative Vaidyaraj Anantrao Joshi was also independantly involved in spreading Ayurveda and serving the society. After 130+ years of establishment their inheritors have launched this venture where Ancient Ayurved meets ultra Modern technology making ayurveda more easy to reach masses, affordably, effectively.
Ayurveda has its roots in one of the oldest philosophical texts of the world, the Rig Veda, Atharva veda almost 6000 years old. Ayurveda is a science of life (Ayu = life, Veda = science or knowledge) and is fondly called the ‘mother of all healing sciences’. From Mother of nature brand Maayurveda (मायुर्वेदा)is born. Maayurveda is for balancing three doshas of people globally.
मायुर्वेद suggests,
मा = माँ= mother.
